ABA Exposure Visit (Official Meeting with Poland Banks Association)

Date: April 10-11, 2018

To exchange ideas, learn global banking practices as effective instruments for the development of Afghan banking sector, a delegation of ABA and Da Afghanistan Bank's, Public Credit Registry (PCR) visited Poland Banks Association (PBA).
Mr. Najibullah Amiri Executive Director, Afghanistan Banks Association (ABA) attended the meeting representing Afghanistan banking sector.
During the meetings, a comprehensive presentation was delivered by PBA and Credit Information Bureau & Economic Information Bureau on their structure, statutory task, membership, governance and service to the Poland banks.
During April 10-11, 2018, Mr. Amiri had an official meeting on bilateral banking cooperation with Mr. Pawel Pniewski Director, International Relations Department, Polish Bank Association and Mr. Andrzej Wolski, Vice President Centre of Banking Law and Information. In addition to appreciating PBA hospitality, Mr. Amiri updated them on ABA tasks, achievements and challenges. Further, Mr. Amiri briefed PBA on Afghanistan Banking Sector status, constrains and opportunities, demanded PBA support with ABA and Afghan banking sector.
Conclusion:
PBA agreed on the following issues.
a) To encourage cooperation in relation to banking sector
b) To share the laws, regulations and other related available documents that are helpful for promotion of Afghan Banking Sector
c) To help ABA on transformation of knowledge on enhancing Afghan banking sector
d) To share banking experiences, standards and practices
f) To share research papers etc. helpful for the promotion of banking sector
a) To collaborate and help on any other issue that is helpful for either party
b) To Coordinate and cooperate to promote and support banking
